California Congressman Tom McClintock has had enough.

The Fifth District Representative from California sent a letter to his House colleagues calling for a vote to condemn the House vote that removed former Speaker Kevin McCarthy and then to re-nominate him for the same office.

“Our conference never voted to oust our Speaker,” McClintock wrote. “Eight of our ‘morally superior’ colleagues made that decision for us. And for the last nine days, we’ve been jumping through their hoops. What we’ve found is that if we do it that way, we’ve ceased to be the majority and will eventually cede that mantle to 212 united Democrats and whatever rump group of Republican malcontents they can assemble. ENOUGH!”

McClintock wrote that conference rules require 25 percent of the conference to sign a resolution for expedited consideration.

“I ask for your help and for you to co-sign on to my Conference Resolution,” McClintock wrote. “Let’s get back to work for the American People under Speaker McCarthy.”
