The United States House of Representatives adopted an amendment by voice vote Wednesday night that will prohibit the deployment of U.S. troops to Ukraine. Crane took the amendment to the floor on Wednesday.

Crane said it is well past time for America to disentangle itself from the “misguided” war effort in Ukraine and begin to promote a peaceful resolution.

“To date, we’ve shipped more than $100 billion American tax dollars to Ukraine,” Craine said. “A country not known for its strict commitment to anti-corruption measures. Sending money is bad enough, our men and women being sent to die over this conflict is unthinkable.”
