DeSantis collects 26 additional Iowa endorsements following debate

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced 26 new endorsements from Iowans on Friday. The announcement comes just two days after the first Republican Party debate, which took place in Milwaukee.

Former Republican Party of Iowa co-chair Cody Hoefert announced his endorsement at a Never Back Down PAC event in Rock Rapids. Hoefert said during the debate DeSantis talked about leadership and what he would do to deliver and fix the problems facing our nation.

“And I sat there with my wife and kids watching that debate and made up my mind that night that I was going to come out and endorse Ron DeSantis for president of the United States,” Hoefert said.
