On Friday, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) joined 195 of his Republican colleagues in sending a letter to EPA Administrator Michael Regan demanding that the Biden Administration rescind its final and destructive “waters of the United States” (WOTUS) rule.

“The Biden Administration’s final WOTUS rule is federal overreach at its worst. Because of this reckless interpretation, every mud puddle and crick in rural Iowa will be subject to federal regulation,” said Rep. Feenstra. “Instead of imposing big-government mandates on rural America, the EPA should support Iowa family farmers and producers who are the breadbasket to our country and the world. In Congress, I will continue to work with my colleagues to overturn this destructive rule and return local control of farmland back to our agricultural community.”

Last month, the EPA announced its final WOTUS rule, creating uncertainty for farmers, increasing input costs, and further complicating the already difficult business of farming.
