If you are at all following the news lately, you are likely aware of the Parental Rights in Education bill (HB 1557, sponsored by Florida state Rep. Joe Harding) that recently passed the Florida legislature. After voicing support for this legislation, Gov. Ron DeSantis officially signed the bill on March 28, despite ongoing media uproar and attempted shaming by the White House.
From the reaction to it, you’d think this law was an artifact of the stone age. Yet it merely seeks to promote transparency in education, ensuring that parents are aware of issues relating to their child’s health and well-being in school, and provides parents with a procedure for voicing their concerns. And – this has caused much hand-wringing from Disney and our cultural elites – the bill requires that classroom instruction on sexual orientation and gender identity not occur in kindergarten through third grade (when children are typically five to eight years old).
Note to Disney and other corporate and cultural elites: According to current polling, a majority of Americans support the move to protect young children from being taught radical sexual and gender ideology in school.
Now, you can weigh in on this controversy. Let Gov. DeSantis and Rep. Harding know you stand with them in their efforts to protect children against the onslaught of attempted shaming being unleashed by Disney and other cultural elites.
