Mike Heaton makes one thing clear in his campaign for Iowa House District 87 — he is a rural Democrat…whatever that means.

Heaton routinely states he is a “rural Democrat.” But the reality of today’s Democrat Party is — rural or urban — the Democrats toe the party line.

Whether a Democrat was “rural” or “urban,” not one of them voted to protect women’s sports. Not one.

This begs the question, does Mike Heaton believe biological boys who identify as girls should be allowed to play girls’ sports?

We asked him by email and on Facebook, but he will not say.

Does “Rural Democrat” Mike Heaton support gender-affirmation treatment for minors? We asked, but again, he will not say if he’s OK with permanent, life-altering experimental treatments being carried out on this generation of children.

Does Mike Heaton believe books containing explicit depictions of sexual activities should be in Iowa school libraries? We asked him, and he has refused to answer.

Does Mike Heaton support the idea that a 10-year-old little girl should have to use the bathroom stall next to a 40-year-old man who thinks he is a woman? We asked him, but Mike Heaton will not say.

We know Mike Heaton was endorsed by the Iowa Teachers’ Union. And we know the Iowa Teachers’ Union has lobbied against a bill saying only biological girls can use the girls’ bathroom.

When Heaton announced his candidacy, he said the state needs more voices in the House that speak to what is actually happening in rural Iowa.

These issues are certainly happening in rural Iowa, yet he isn’t willing to answer basic questions about them.

Heaton noted the Democrats have mostly ignored rural Iowa, but then said the “new Republican Party” is extreme.

At least the “new Republican Party” can define the word “woman.” And stands against doctors carving up the bodies of minors to fit a fantasy.

Extreme? How about the Democrat Party that wants porn like this available in school libraries. And porn like this. And porn like this.

How about the Democrat Party that refuses to protect women’s sports?

A Democrat Party that is content with sex-change surgeries for kids.

A Democrat Party that is totally fine with little kids being exposed to grown men dressed up like women dancing like strippers for dollar bills.

Sure, Mike. Tell us more about how it is the GOP that is “extreme.” And, while you’re at it, care to share with us what is a woman?
