Odebolt resident Wendy Larson, Republican, announces her candidacy to represent citizens of Iowa House District 7. Larson, a wife of 24 years to her husband, Chad, and homeschooling mother of three with strong Christian conservative values, wants to build up Iowa for coming generations. Larson serves her church and community as a Deaconess at Kiron Baptist Church, middle school youth leader, volunteer at the Mobile Food Pantry, and feels called to make a positive impact and be a bold leader for Iowa.

Iowa House District 7 includes Calhoun County, Pocahontas County, Sac County, and western Webster County. “It’s time for residents of District 7 to have a representative who is present with them, listens to their concerns, makes time for them, and focuses on relevant issues to the district,” Larson said. “It’s one thing to be a representative but quite another to be a leader. I plan on going to Des Moines to champion and lead on issues that matter for the deserving people of House District 7.”

Larson believes in strong families and is ready to fight for the unborn. “To me, it’s about our children. That means being pro-life, having and encouraging strong families, knowing every decision we make will impact our kids and the future they will have,” Larson said.

As a conservative, Larson values the Constitution and will work to preserve the freedoms Iowans enjoy. Larson will serve her district by tackling improper use of eminent domain, anti-second amendment laws, mandates that transgress our medical freedoms, illegal immigration, and indoctrination of children in public schools. With close family ties to the farm, Wendy understands and will be an effective voice for farmers. And she believes to thrive, families need a strong economy driven by fiscally responsible legislators.

“We need someone in Des Moines who will lead on issues, whether popular or unpopular, and stand up to this nonsense,” Larson said. Larson plans to build authentic relationships by listening to her constituents and providing leadership that prioritizes their issues.

Larson wants voters to know she is ready for the challenge of being a servant leader and effective representative. She is eager to meet the citizens of District 7. “I humbly ask for your support and your vote in the Iowa Primary Election on Tuesday, June 4, 2024,” she concludes.
