Dear Citizens of Iowa:

I come in peace, with only love of country and fear for the future in my heart. My love of country arises out of my belief in a constitutional republic system of government that places the primacy of personal liberty at its core. My fear for the future arises out of a belief system held by many in the political establishment that places the police power of the State above individual liberty. The Statist philosophy believes that the State, with its belief in its own infinite wisdom and monopoly on power, is the institution best suited to order and control our lives. For the past three years, the Statists have been in control of this country. The 2024 elections will determine whether the Statists permanently consolidate that control or fall to the forces of individual liberty. In short, the 2024 elections will be a choice between individual liberty and the tyranny of the State.

In my view there is only one consideration in deciding who to vote for in the upcoming Republican Iowa Caucuses; that is: who has the greatest chance to win the presidency in 2024 and carry Republicans to victory in the House and Senate? The answer to that question lies, not at the ideological fringes of the Republican Party (think Matt Gaetz), but rather with those occupying the medium of a bell-shaped curve, the pragmatic, sober, informed center of the curve that understands that the essence of democracy is compromised in finding workable solutions to the ever-expanding complexity of a changing world.

Of the five Republican candidates vying for the nomination, only one is at risk of losing to Joe R. Obiden; that is Donald J. Trump. Whatever your personal feelings are about DJT, there is an enormous reservoir of hatred of him out there in every sector of society, from conservatives to liberals in both parties, with the percentages among liberals and independents in the medium of the bell-shaped curve, enough to swing the election in favor of he whom many consider to be a doddering, mumbling stumbling old fool—and with him the House and Senate. Is this a risk worth taking?

I voted for DJT twice and probably would do so a third time, but I viewed him then as I do now, as a clinical narcissist with underlying megalomania. But, I fear my vote, if that eventuates, will in all likelihood be swamped in a tidal wave of hatred that is exemplified by the fact that of the 44 cabinet appointees made by DJT, only 4 support him for a second term. If you took a poll of those 40 cabinet appointees who do not support DJT for POTUS in 2024, I suspect to the person they would agree with everything I have written here. For the love of country, think very hard about your vote in the Iowa Republican Caucuses of 2024. Vote to win in 2024!
