I was watching the midterm coverage on The Blaze.  Steve Deace brought up that Virginia went from about a 10-point Biden win in 2020 to a 2-point Youngkin win in 2021.  This 12-point turnaround was done before inflation was a top story. The drag/pagan queen madness wasn’t at a peak yet either.  This turnaround was done without one Trump rally or endorsement.

This fact along with the underperformance in Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Nevada, etc. is a strong indication that Trump’s shelf life is nearing its expiration date.  It’s time for some fresh Florida citrus with Ron DeSantis.  He isn’t as toxic to the left therefore won’t initiate a retaliatory response to the degree of Trump.

It’s Trump’s personality that people either love or hate.  DeSantis has something in his personality that Trump doesn’t, humility.  Personally, this is my biggest issue with Trump.  Policy-wise the two candidates are fairly equal.

  1. I am in total agreement with this editorial. Trump’s snarky remark about DeSantis had the same affect as sucking all the air out of the room. It was childish and only served to push those of us who aren’t crazy in love with the former president to cringe and back further away. DeSantis would have my support in 2024.
