It appears Mike Lindell is preparing to challenge Ronna McDaniel for the position of chair of the Republican National Committee.
Lindell said that state GOP chairs have approached him about the position.
“They approached me and said would you please run against Ronna McDaniel,” Lindell said. “I’m telling you, this would be in my wheelhouse. I have thousands of employees and when I see a problem, it’s problem solution and what would it manifest to. When you’re talking about raising money, it’s also not just about raising money like the RNC does — what are you going to do with that. Why are these donors putting money in the first place? What are their expectations and what do we need to win.”
Lindell was asked about staying focused on election integrity, he said the RNC election is towards the end of January and he will maintain his focus on election integrity.
He said a lot of opposition to election integrity has come from the GOP itself.
“A lot of it has been the RNC,” he said. “You just heard like Ronna ordered them to stand down — don’t help out. In 2020, in November and December, they’re doing all kinds of things about election integrity, raising money, even using my name in some of that stuff and where did that money go? What did it do to help us? I don’t know. When donors put in huge money they need to know they’re going to have a fair election.”
Lindell said he will “never, ever, ever” stop on election integrity and election crimes.
He said he’ll have a decision on whether he’ll run for RNC chair in a few days.
