U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. called for unanimous consent to pass two monumental bills on the Senate Floor this evening. First, Senator Marshall joined Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) in calling for the immediate passage of H.R. 2, the Secure our Borders Act. This legislation passed by the U.S. House of Representatives over a year ago and would immediately secure the border by finishing the wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, ending catch and release, hiring more border patrol agents, and ending the abuse of asylum.
Senate Democrats blocked this bill from consideration.
Following their dismal, Senator Marshall followed up immediately with calling for the passage of his Demanding Citizenship in D.C. Elections Act, legislation that requires anyone who votes in a municipal election in the District of Columbia to be a U.S. Citizen and require proof of citizenship.
Senate Democrats also blocked this bill from consideration.
Currently, we have 11 million illegal aliens on US. soil as Joe Biden continues to double down on the worst border crisis in history. Tonights actions by Senate Democrats reveal that they are not serious about border security, that our national security is an afterthought.
