Derek Myers, the America First Republican candidate in Ohio’s Second Congressional District has released a video confirming his involvement in a secret FBI program that was used to infiltrate protests, such as the “Stop the Steal” rally on January 6, 2021.
Myers, who was recruited into the organization in 2017, has shed light on the FBI’s use of undercover agents and human assets to infiltrate groups, radicalize them, and escalate their actions via a video posted on X, formerly known as Twitter and on Truth Social.
Myers, once an active participant in the organization, has now chosen to come clean about the truth behind the program. His testimony unveils a disturbing pattern of FBI involvement in fostering radicalism and aggression within certain groups, ultimately leading to events like the January 6 rally and the federal government’s use of journalists as human assets.
Speaking about his experiences, Myers stated, “The American people deserve to know the truth about their government and the events on January 6. The fact that the Director of the FBI refuses to tell the truth while under oath is a disgrace to justice.”
Myers’ revelations proves the need for transparency and accountability within the Department of Justice, particularly regarding their tactics in handling extremist groups.
“By coming forward, I hope to shed light on the dangers of undercover operations that manipulate and radicalize individuals for political purposes,” Myers said. “It is crucial that we hold those responsible for such actions accountable and prevent similar events from occurring in the future. If the FBI had not been embedded inside the rally on January 6, it may never have turned violent. It’s time Washington has a watchdog.”
