On Thursday, Congressman Ken Buck (CO-04), along with Rep. Lauren Boebert (CO-03), introduced the “No Federal Tax Dollars for Illegal Aliens Health Insurance Act”, a bill to prohibit the use of federal funds to subsidize illegal immigrants’ health care. This bill is a direct response to the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) and the U.S. Department of Treasury’s approval of Colorado’s Section 1332 State Innovation Waiver Amendment.

“Tax payer dollars should not fund healthcare for non-citizens. Yet Democrats are stealthily using Section 1332 waivers to grant free healthcare to illegal immigrants,” said Representative Buck. “This is a slap in the face to the hardworking Americans who subsidize this coverage with their tax dollars while foregoing medical care themselves. This bill ensures the needs of the American people come first, not last.”

“I am proud to be co-sponsoring the No Federal Tax Dollars for Illegal Aliens Health Insurance bill, an initiative that I am championing alongside my fellow Coloradan, Congressman Ken Buck. It is my strong belief that taxpayer dollars should be directed towards the well-being of our citizens and legal residents, and as such, they should not be allocated to provide medical insurance for those who are in our country illegally,” said Representative Boebert.
