President Donald J. Trump threw his support behind Congressman Jim Jordan’s bid to be the next Speaker of the House. Jordan is one of the likely frontrunners to replace Rep. Kevin McCarthy.
“Congressman Jim Jordan has been a star long before making his very successful journey to Washington, D.C., representing Ohio’s Fourth Congressional District,” Trump said. “Respected by all, he is now Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee.”
As President, Trump awarded Jordan with the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Jordan was a four-time state champion as a high school wrestler and a two-time NCAA Division I champ.
“He is strong on crime, borders, our military/vets and Second Amendment,” Trump said. “Jim, his wife, Polly, and family are outstanding. He will be a GREAT Speaker of the House and has my complete and total endorsement.”
