White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre announced President Joe Biden will begin masking indoors again after First Lady Jill Biden tested positive for COVID.
Biden was with the First Lady on Monday and, in alignment with CDC guidance, will be masking while indoors and around others. Jean-Pierre said Biden will remove his mask when he is sufficiently distanced from others indoors.
Jill Biden tested positive for COVID and was said to be experiencing “mild symptoms.”
According to “Snopes,” Jill Biden received a two-dose initial COVID shot series and two additional COVID booster shots. Snopes also says that COVID shots have “waned in effectiveness” since the early months of the pandemic.
Jill Biden contracted COVID in August of 2022.
President Biden was tested following Jill Biden’s positive results, but President Biden’s test returned negative.
