On Tuesday night, Rep. Taylor Collins released the following statement following an electoral landslide over his Democrat opponent, Jeff Poulter, in the race for Iowa House District 95.

“First and foremost, I want to thank the people of Southeast Iowa for entrusting me with the honor to continue serving them in the Iowa House of Representatives,” said Rep. Collins. “I also want to thank my family, especially my wife Savannah, who have continued to support me in serving our great state.”

“Tonight, Iowans once again delivered a conservative mandate to their elected leaders,” said Rep. Collins. “The chaos and consequences of the liberal policies coming out of Washington D.C. is not the direction our state should go.”

“Since I was sworn in as your representative in Des Moines, I promised to be a strong, conservative voice for Southeast Iowa in the Iowa House,” said Rep. Collins. “I pledge to continue doing exactly that.”

Rep. Taylor Collins resides in Mediapolis, and represents Iowa House District 95, encompassing all of Louisa, and large parts of Des Moines, Henry, and Muscatine Counties. Once sworn in again in January, Rep. Collins will begin his second term in the Iowa House.
