Congressman Bob Good spoke at this week’s press conference on the Protect Children’s Innocence Act. Here are his remarks:

He started by thanking Chloe Cole for her courage in sharing her story, noting courage is in “short supply” in Washington D.C. He also complimented Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene for leading on the “moral issues.”

“The foundation of our country is morality — it’s marriage, it’s family — and it’s under assault in our country like at no other time before. And appeasement of evil never works. We must make our stand. Drawing lines in the sand and backing up and backing up and backing up never works. And here is where we find ourselves today.

“This issue sums up who the Democrat Party is. We ought to have members of Congress standing here with us today to stand up and fight against mutilation and abuse of children. Why wouldn’t every member of Congress be here? Why wouldn’t every member of the media support this issue? Think about what we’re doing. God doesn’t make any mistakes.”

Good said to follow the science of sex, gender and chromosomes.

“When a child is confused about their gender, let’s come alongside them and help them and encourage them to find their way as almost all will if given the right kind of support,” Good said. “Instead, what we’re doing across this country because of the Left and the Democrat Party is — they’re making our schools into incubators to groom children.”

Good said the 4,000 percent increase over the last decade in kids being referred to gender clinics is due to external influences.

“Even the reasonable Leftist, Bill Maher, said recently when he was a child he wanted to be a pirate and he’s thankful nobody cut off his leg and poked out his eye as a child,” Good said. “Think about what we’re doing. But it’s no surprise the Democrat Party that has no limits on wanting to mutilate children in the womb now wants to mutilate children outside the womb. Suicide rates skyrocket after these kinds of treatments, this kind of abuse to children.”
