United States Senator and former failed presidential candidate Mitt Romney told Norah O’Donnell he would support a Democrat over former President Donald J. Trump or Vivek Ramaswamy.

Romney was asked who he liked in the GOP field and said he liked all of them. Well, mostly…

“Anybody,” he said of who he liked. “I’d be happy to support virtually any one of the Republicans. Maybe not Vivek, but the others that are running would be acceptable to me. And I’d be happy to vote for them. I’d be happy to vote for a number of the Democrats too. It would be an upgrade from, in my opinion, from Donald Trump and perhaps also from Joe Biden.”

Romney said he likes Biden and finds him a “very charming and engaging person,” but he’d like to see a different Democrat run.

Romney’s niece, Ronna Romney McDaniel, has come under fire from Vivek Ramaswamy for the GOP’s recent struggles.
