Roy, Good lead group of Republicans calling to stop funding open borders

On Monday, Representatives Chip Roy (TX-21) and Bob Good (VA-05) led a group of 43 House Republicans calling on their GOP colleagues to use the power of the purse in the upcoming appropriations package to stop Biden’s open borders policies.

The representatives wrote in a letter, “Border security has to be more than something aspirational that we simply message on… Is there no threshold of harm to our nation for which we would refuse to fund the government perpetrating the invasion?”

“The House must put forth an appropriations measure that forces the inclusion of core elements of H.R. 2…otherwise Republicans will be actively funding Biden’s ‘open borders’ policies.”

The congressmen said, “These policies are intentional and rooted in radical progressive Democrats’ desire to fundamentally remake America. A vote to fund this government without policy reforms is a vote for these polices.”

“Therefore, we ask you to join us in rejecting the appropriations package (or anything similar) slated to be before the House that will directly fund these disastrous policies, and choose instead to stand against this assault on the American people,” the representatives said.
