Mr. President, the House Democrats announced they’re moving to impeach President Trump for ‘abuse of power.’
When all this started, Democrats said he’d committed a quid pro quo.
But that didn’t poll well.
So they switched to ‘bribery.’ Maybe that didn’t poll well either, or maybe they discovered that history doesn’t support their definition.
So finally, they’ve settled on abuse of power.
It’s like the goldilocks impeachment.
The ‘quid pro quo’ bowl was too cold, and the ‘bribery’ bowl too hot.
But apparently, ‘abuse of power’ tastes just right.
Well, the American people are increasingly getting a bad taste in their mouths about the Democrats’ partisan impeachment story.
