In case Cindy Axne and Abby Finkenauer are not aware… the clock’s ticking. After months of ignoring Iowans and the press – both locally and nationally regarding Washington’s latest witch hunt, the time for stalling is nearly over.

In toss-up districts that President Trump won in 2016, Finkenauer and Axne know that their decisions might lead to a one-and-done term in congress.

After dodging the Omaha World Herald, CNN, and KWWL (three times), Axne and Finkenauer will need to make a national declaration of who they stand with – the people of Iowa or their party’s leadership.

“In 2016, Iowans in the First and Third Congressional Districts made their support for President Trump clear,” said RNC spokesperson Prey Samsundar. “Unfortunately, Cindy Axne and Abby Finkenauer refuse to be accountable to their constituents. Iowans will remember Axne and Finkenauer’s blatant disregard of their views and will ensure they are one-term congresswomen come 2020.”
