Iowa House Speaker Pat Grassley visited with the Westside Conservative Club on Wednesday morning for their twice-a-month breakfast. He was asked about the progress on bills relating to medical freedom in the Iowa House.

“Yeah, so, the first thing I would say is, again, not to, not to always look back to the things that we’ve done, but last fall when we were in and making sure that there were exemptions existing, I know that there’s other states taking the language that we passed and utilizing it as their language because it has been working,” Grassley said.

He noted there are bills in the legislature “making sure” we can maintain our freedoms. He also discussed the court ruling on the OSHA mandate.

“We need to continue to monitor how what we’ve already done is working and we have in place,” he said. “I think it’s a bigger conversation and it’s part of that federal government and then where are we able to push back.

“To summarize that issue on a whole, I think what we’ve already done is working well. But when it comes to that issue as a whole, when it comes to the federal government, we just need to continue to monitor and, where we can push back, we need to be able to do that.”

Grassley said it is hard for him to say they’ll do this bill or that bill.

“It’s been more of ‘we’re prepared and ready to act and whenever we’ve needed to take action we follow through with that,'” he said. “That probably doesn’t answer your question specifically, but it’s the mentality that we have as a legislature.”

  1. We need a comprehensive timeless document to protect us from future encroachments upon our liberties. We have that in the constitution of United States of America and the constitution of the state of Iowa but it is not being upheld. Pass legislation to facilitate the implementation of the constitutional rights that already exist.

  3. What nonsense answers… He is completely avoiding our concerns. We need the state to preserve our personal freedom by not allowing companies to force us to submit to medical tyranny. The main purpose of the US govt is supposed to be the preservation of the freedom if its citizens.
It is not the business of companies to know what our stance on an undertested and ineffective medical procedure is. We are not cattle, and employers are not our ranchers! It is outrageous, and not even based on science. We all know the “vaccines” are ineffective. We can all see the “vaccinated” are infected at a higher rate. We can all see the horrible side effects. We can all see the ignored and repressed treatments!
The federal government wants private businesses to do their dirty work. It makes me wonder if they are giving incentives for companies imposing such violating policies.

  4. Seriously… WHAT have they done?
OSHA can’t mandate it. We need our legislators to stop tyrannical companies from oppressing our medical freedom.
