Prominent conservative State Rep. Steven Holt announced Wednesday he would be shifting his endorsement from Ron DeSantis to political outsider Vivek Ramaswamy for the 2024 Republican Presidential nomination. In addition to Rep. Holt’s announcement, Ramaswamy racked up three other big endorsements in Iowa this week from Congressman Steve King, State Senator Sandy Salmon, and State Representative Jeff Shipley.

His commitment to stand against the unconstitutional use of eminent domain against farmer’s wishes in Iowa to build the carbon capture pipeline reflects his commitment to constitutional principles,” said Holt. He has clearly identified the challenges our nation is facing, calling this a 1776 moment for this generation. I believe he is our 1776 candidate and that is why I have made the decision to support him.”
