Surgeon General to Americans: ‘Keep at it’

To all Americans helping slow the spread of Coronavirus, Surgeon General Jerome Adams has a message: “Thank you for following the President’s Coronavirus guidelines.”

Social distancing and other mitigation actions are working, he says. “We know we’re flattening the curve and saving lives, and it is all thanks to you.”

We must stay vigilant to defeat this virus. To protect you and your loved ones, continue practicing strict personal hygiene and staying home as much as possible—especially if you or a member of your household is feeling sick.

“We continue to be encouraged that many of the areas hardest hit by the virus appear to have turned the corner,” President Trump said yesterday. “Recent deaths are down very, very substantially.”

Each day, America is gaining ground in this fight. The Trump Administration wants to keep that momentum going. All of us, no matter our age, has a role to play:
