Walter Parsons, a Texas business owner, posted a help wanted sign that includes a key phrase:

“Now hiring non-stupid people,” the sign reads.

Parsons reportedly has endured a frustrating revolving door of employees at his Pets Gone Wild Resort in Pasadena, Texas.

The sign generated some criticism, but Parsons said there are “a whole lot worse words” people are using that are offensive.

“We’re trying to weed out the people that do come in,” Parsons said according to KHOU. “We hired one last week that lasted three days.”

According to reports, the woman who complained about the sign asked what message it sends to previous employees.

“The fact that they feel so emboldened to put something up there like that, it’s disgusting, it’s distasteful and it’s unprofessional,” said Taylor N.

Parsons received three good applicants and will be taking the sign down, he said according to KHOU.
