Last week we wrote about President Donald J. Trump’s efforts to address Critical Race Theory within the federal government. We also published this piece, highlighting CRT’s presence within the Department of Homeland Security in which the claim is made that white Americans have inherited ‘racist biases of their forbears.’
The conference we are focusing on in this piece was hosted by the Department of Education. Conference material encouraged teachers to “create disruption,” “abolish” capitalism and prisons and “tear down” America.
Bettina Love, the keynote speaker, opened the conference with the claim that America has “oppressed (people of color) for 400 years” and that it is up to teachers to “consciously tear down a system that oppresses people” and “build a new world.”
Love went on to argue the United States has a “racial contract” that has enabled whites to “kill blacks with immunity,” and that President Trump deliberately allowed COVID-19 to kill people of color. She also claimed schools are built to “manage racism” and should be torn down. Fighting racism “must be the work of all white people” and “white people need to get out of white emotionality.”
With the fate of the 2020 Presidential Election hanging in the balance, it is likely that President Trump’s executive order addressing Critical Race Theory in the federal government will be overturned by Joe Biden.
Just one more reason to keep praying for the fate of our country regardless of who wins this election — after all, it is possible the damage has already been done by this anti-American propaganda.
