Donald Trump Jr. wasted little time criticizing President Joe Biden during his speech Sunday at America Fest 2022. He opened by saying the crowd was impressive, considering when he started speaking at Turning Point USA events the group was much smaller.
When he first started speaking at TP USA events, he said the crowds were much smaller than the nearly 11,000 who have shown up in Phoenix this weekend. He compared those early crowds to those at Biden rallies.
But now the crowd has grown because they’ve seen the “insanity” and the “disastrous policies” of the Biden White House.
“We’re literally now negotiating with terrorists,” he said. “And we can all be happy to bring an American home, even if that American hates America. What we can be upset about is that we’re giving our enemies an arms dealer. When you trade the merchant of death for a WNBA player, that’s what we call a bad trade. It may be the only trade that anyone’s heard of in the history of the WNBA, but that doesn’t make it a good one.”
Trump Jr. criticized the criticisms leveled at those who question the wisdom of America sending billions of dollars to Ukraine, which he said is an “equally corrupt” regime to Russia.
“Then we give Russia back their No. 1 arms dealer,” he said.
The only people thrilled about the money going to Ukraine is the American military industrial complex, he said. The American people on both sides of the political aisle no longer have an appetite for endless wars, which he credited President Donald Trump for, so “big military” has to find another way to get rich.
“Big military has been watching big pharma get really rich for the last few years,” Trump Jr. said. “They’re saying ‘it’s our turn again.’”
