All week we have told you how the Iowa City Bookmobile offers books at Iowa City elementary schools that are prohibited from being in the schools.

On Monday, we highlighted the book “Grandad’s Pride.” Read about that here.

On Tuesday, we highlighted the book “If You’re A Drag Queen and You Know It.” Read about that here

On Wednesday, we highlighted the book “Hooray for she, he, ze, and they! What are your pronouns today?” Read about that here.

On Thursday, we highlighted the book “Pink, blue and you! Questions for Kids About Gender Stereotypes.” Read about that here

On Friday, we highlighted the book “The Rainbow Parade.” Read about that here

The Iowa City Public Library’s Bookmobile will participate in a “Drag Family Story Time” on Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Stanley Museum of Art in Gibson Square Park hosted by the University of Iowa. The event is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.

According to a release, the event will feature engaging stories, lively songs and interactive movement activities “perfect for families and children of all ages.”

The Bookmobile will be parked alongside the park to offer a “wonderful selection of books.” Sidewalk chalk will be provided as well.

  1. I’m unclear what the purpose is for having a fundamentally wholesome activity like the Book Mobile turned into some freak show that cannot possibly be thought of as being good for young children.
Who is driving this function and why ??
Are there some parents that think this is a positive activity and is it the goal of a small precentage of parents to ” radicalize ” the entire group of young children to believe this is normal ” Adult ” conduct so the kids believe that , ” trans, drag snd cross sexualization ” is ” No Big Deal ” in Society ?
I need to learn the individuals that organize and are pushing this agenda please.
I am interested in learning all I can for next year.
People can do as they choose but to indoctrinate young children risking shock and nightmares seems outside the norm and ask ourselves , please.
In Ten Years , will there be ” Anal Sex ” in public that kids will be taken to observe ????
Why are we TRYING OUR BEST To make it acceptable for our parents or children to go as far outside societal norms ??? Why ????

    * Firefighting education
    * How to care for our elderly population as a community
    * Blue Collar Trades to consider
    * Testing Store produce for chemicals
Are these some areas that may be useful in Life for these Youngsters ?
Would these be a much better value for a growing young population and more acceptable, spurring interest and enthusiasm ?
I’m just darn curious if, as a community, County and State , We may want to reevaluate our priorities for impressionable young Iowa children that will one day work, live and pay taxes here in Iowa and what’s the most beneficial for our population.
Respectfully, Phil McCoy, Section 12 ,NE Johnson County, Village of Sutliff , IOWA USA
