Minnesota Vikings head football coach Mike Zimmer said he is frustrated with everybody who will not get vaccinated after three of his team’s quarterbacks were placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list
“Quite honestly, going through everything that we went through last year, I’m not surprised one bit,” Zimmer said. “I am disappointed that this happened. I’m frustrated with not just my football players that won’t get vaccinated, I’m frustrated with everybody. So, we just do the best we can and, you know, it’s disappointing.”
According to reports, Kirk Cousins was deemed a “high-risk close contact to an infected player.” That player, reported the Star Tribune, is Kellen Mond. Backup quarterback Nate Stanley was also quarantined.
Jake Browning was the only quarterback left for Saturday’s practice since he was vaccinated. League rules do not require vaccinated players to isolate if they’re close contacts with an infected individual.
The Vikings already rearranged their coaching staff due to the NFL’s COVID protocols.
