Breitbart is reporting that Army veteran and businessman Kevin Virgil has been endorsed by Vivek Ramaswamy. According to the article, Ramaswamy endorsed Virgil in a statement days after Congerssperson Randy Feenstra helped kill an amendment to the Reforming Intelligence and Securing America Act (RISAA) that would have required warrants for surveillance of Americans’ communications.
Ramaswamy told Breitbart he has never followed the pack and will not start now.
“America’s out-of-control administrative state is rotten beyond repair,” Ramaswamy reportedly said. “Every Republican who’s run for Congress talks a big game about reining in the federal bureaucracy. But they never do it.”
Ramaswamy said that Virgil is a “patriot with a spine.”
“He’s an outsider,” Ramaswamy said. “He knows reform is a myth. You have to shut it down. Kevin signed my American Truth Pledge and I’m proud to endorse him for IA-4.”
Feenstra joined 85 other House Republicans to vote against the amendment last week offered by Congressman Andy Biggs.
