Republican State Sen. Brad Zaun announced late last week he will seek re-election to the Iowa Senate in 2024. Zaun, the Senate Judiciary Committee chair, represents District 22, including Johnston, eastern Urbandale and three townships in northern Polk County.

“The results produced by the Iowa Senate over the last several years have motivated me to continue to serve and work to make Iowa the best state in the country,” Zaun said. “During just my last term I supported multiple bills to ease the income and property tax burden, passed historic support for law enforcement and moved many policies to protect the most vulnerable Iowans.”

Zaun said he will continue work on cutting taxes, implementing policies to help Iowa schools and students succeed and keep communities safe in the next four years.
