About 100 people showed up Saturday afternoon for the Trump Train Parade in Estherville. Dawn Powers helped plan and organize the event.
“It was an honor to be able to bring patriotism back to Estherville,” she said. “To show our support for our local police and law enforcement everywhere and for the men and women in and out of uniform! We thank you! We live in America, the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.”
In all, about 80 cars participated in the parade, which was all about honoring President Donald J. Trump, the military and law enforcement.
“We wanted to make clear that Emmett County stands for law and order and stands behind police officers,” Powers said.
One man said he lived in Estherville his whole life and was grateful to see the American spirit “come alive.”
Others ventured down from Jackson, Minnesota to join the parade.
