Democrat State Rep. Sharon Steckman has come out in support of stocking books promoting pedophilia, incest, masturbation and containing sexually explicit pictures inside Iowa school libraries.

Steckman is a former teacher. She agreed it is a “problem” to decide what is obscene and what is not. She shared a story about Sen. Jake Chapman’s promise to address the issue through legislation, and said the following:

“The threats to the school board from Senator Chapman are appalling.”

So, to be clear, Steckman believes Chapman’s promise to protect kids from the following images are “appalling.” Yet she obviously doesn’t believe the images to be. Steckman’s husband is a school board member in Mason City as well.

Steckman also “liked” a comment calling Chapman’s promise to protect children and their innocence “Taliban.”

WARNING: Do not let your kids see these images, please. However, it is important to see what Rep. Steckman and her fellow Democrats are defending…

So, hopefully, Steckman has actually looked at these books before defending them. Surely she wouldn’t want to make public statements about things she hasn’t educated herself about first.

But I’m not sure what is more disturbing — the thought she defended something she failed to research or the fact she defended them even after doing her research.

Either way, this is more proof Iowa Democrats are completely and totally out of touch with parents and what is best for children.
