Yesterday, VoteVets endorsed Admiral Michael Franken’s candidacy to be the Democratic nominee to defeat Senator Charles Grassley ahead of the June 7th primary.
“I’m proud of and humbled by every one of our campaign’s endorsements, but this one is particularly personal to me. As the brother of a long-serving naval officer, brother-in-law to three other veterans, son of a WWII veteran, and grandson of a WWI veteran, the support of VoteVets is that additional credibility I need to be a true voice for our veterans,” said Franken.
“I’m grateful that this nation produces those who want to serve in uniform and for the families who support the cause. It is indeed an honor to have the endorsement of VoteVets, which works to secure voting rights, defend our democracy, and improve the lives of veterans and military families.”
