Chris Nonhof is an assistant professor of education and English at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa. He made waves last week when he commented on the Sioux County Conservatives’ page on a post about a Houston library admitting a registered child sex offender reads to kids in Drag Queen story hour.

The post from Sioux County Conservatives reads “As Orange City city leaders remain silent about OC Pride, imagine the lawsuit they are setting Orange City up for! Who is doing the background checks on these drag queens who are dancing with children at the city-owned event center? Imagine the lofty lawsuit against the city if a drag queen molests a child in the city-owned event center!”

Nonhof commented, “There might just be a better chance of a child being molested by a Republican congressman than a member of the trans community. Anybody got the numbers?”
