We reported about unhinged Urbandale School Board member Stacy Andersen on Wednesday. Last night the district held its special meeting on a proposed mask mandate, which passed 4-3 despite Andersen’s prediction there would be five or six votes in support.

In this video, Andersen said she is happy some of her constituents have signed a petition to have her removed from the board.

“A lot of people in our community are convinced that four of us, including me, are holding the sole power to the city,” she said. “There is even a petition to remove me off school board and that makes me feel so good. And the reason why is, if people weren’t threatened by me and my vote, they would absolutely not be worried about me.”

Many of us have known a politician who is out of touch — but Andersen is likely the most out of touch elected official we’ve seen.

The strangest part?

“It’s been challenging, it’s worn on my mental health, but I think I’ve only grown exponentially more powerful through this experience and I’ve gained more self-confidence,” she said.

Grown “exponentially more powerful?”

What the heck.
