As Vice President Kamala Harris campaigns on a pro-abortion agenda in Arizona today, Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America slammed the Biden-Harris administration in a statement:
“With the Biden administration failing on practically every level, Democrats are going all in on abortion and fearmongering to save them in the elections. That includes sending Vice President Kamala Harris around the country to do the dirty work of being Biden’s ‘abortion czar,’ regardless of her severe unpopularity. Harris is so deep in the pocket of the abortion lobby, which spends millions to elect Democrats, she recently became the first sitting vice president to campaign at an abortion facility. She refuses to name a single limit on abortion she would support,” said SBA Pro-Life America Vice President of Communications Emily Erin Davis.
“While Harris and the Democrats fearmonger and lie about pro-life protections, they won’t tell voters the truth about their plan to enact a sweeping federal all-trimester abortion edict if they are re-elected. Nor will they discuss the extreme consequences of left-wing efforts to enshrine unlimited abortion ‘rights’ in states like Arizona, spending millions to rewrite constitutions and overturn commonsense guardrails like parental consent and health and safety regulations. They will stop at nothing to force abortion on demand any time for any reason, even brutal second and third trimester abortions when babies can feel pain, in every state in America – with no exceptions. They must be exposed and stopped.”
Speaking about Arizona’s abortion amendment, SBA Pro-Life America State Public Affairs Director Kelsey Pritchard noted, “It will eviscerate parental rights so that girls who are 15 can’t go get their ears pierced on their own, but they can go get an abortion with mom or dad never knowing.”
The Arizona abortion amendment would:
- Permit unrestricted, unregulated abortion at any time in pregnancy by allowing a “treating health care professional” (the abortionist who directly profits) using “good faith judgment” to carry out abortions of babies who could survive outside the womb, if they subjectively deem it necessary for the mother’s mental or physical health.
- Remove longstanding health and safety standards,like parental consent, informed consent, and inspections of abortion facilities.
- Force Arizonans to pay for abortions, even second and third trimester abortions after the baby can feel pain, and abortion tourism from out of state.
