Likely voters trust Democrats to handle abortion more than Republicans according to a poll released last week by Rasmussen Reports.

Forty-seven percent of likely voters said they trust Democrats more while 36 percent trust Republicans more. Democrats held just a three-point lead on the issue in May.

Seventy-seven percent of likely voters said abortion will be an important issue in the 2024 Presidential Election.

Of those polled, 54 percent said they consider themselves generally pro-choice. Just 38 percent said they are pro-life.

Even one-third of Republicans said they are pro-choice, as did 53 percent of unaffiliated voters. Just 60 percent of Republicans said they are pro-life.
