Republican State Sen. Jeff Taylor announced he will run for reelection, seeking a second term as the state senator for Sioux County, Lyon County and the northern half of Plymouth County.

“I strive to be a thoughtful, principled, and effective legislator for the people of District 2,” Taylor said. “Over the past three years, I have stood for adherence to the Constitution, consistent protection of life, advocacy for landowner property rights, prioritizing both liberty and community, and balancing state authority with local home rule.”

Taylor will be holding a campaign kickoff and fundraiser on July 27 at 7 p.m.  It will be held at Sioux Center Public Library (102 South Main), rooms A and B.  Former acting U.S. Attorney General Matt Whitaker is scheduled to be the featured speaker.

Suggested donation to “Jeff Taylor for State Senate” is $30 per adult, $50 per couple.

Taylor’s campaign website is https://www.taylor4senate.org/ and he can be contacted by email at [email protected].
