United States Senator Chuck Grassley will debate his Democrat opponent, Mike Franken, tonight (Thursday, Oct. 6). The debate is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. and will air on Iowa PBS.

Grassley won the GOP nomination against State Sen. Jim Carlin without agreeing to debate Carlin. He is seeking an eighth six-year term to the United States Senate and will be 95 years old at the end of his next term should he win.

Franken beat former Congresswoman Abby Finkenauer in the Democrat primary.

The debate can be streamed on the Iowa PBS website and on their YouTube channel.
