Michigan’s official website has Trump ahead, so why did the media call it for Biden

I have seen the posts all over Facebook. You probably have to.

Here:

You can see the facts according to the Michigan Secretary of State’s website. President Donald J. Trump has 2,374,888 votes. Joe Biden has 2,201,351 votes.

As you can see — or hopefully noticed — 81/83 counties have reported to the state. Two have not.

One is Antrim County, which President Trump won in 2016. But the advantage was only 4,000-some votes.

The other county is Wayne County, home to Detroit. According to the media’s numbers, Wayne County has provided Biden with a 567,846-259,687 advantage. Clearly, that gap is going to make up all the ground necessary for Biden to win Michigan.

Now, this isn’t to say all the voting in Michigan is kosher. That there hasn’t been any fraud at all.

But it does explain why the media has called the state for Biden despite Trump holding a lead according to the state’s official numbers.

It is ironic that one of the largest counties in Michigan hasn’t been able to count and report its votes. One would think the largest county, or one of the largest counties, would have the best technology and tools available to get things done and to get them done in a timely manner.
