Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene was the first guest speaker to take the stage at Thursday’s Save America Rally in Sioux City. She took aim at both Democrats, and some Republicans.
“In less than two years everyone, Democrats have proven that they can’t be trusted with power,” MTG said. “They’re running for office claiming Republicans are destroying democracy, but yet it’s Democrats who are destroying our country.”
She said everything the Democrats have done has “hurt” the people.
“Under the rein of Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi, we now have the highest inflation in over 40 years,” she said. “The American people can’t afford food, can’t afford their bills and can’t afford their gas. And with Democrats in charge, we’re on the verge of a diesel fuel crisis.”
MTG hit on the crime issue as well, noting the only crime victim the media talks about is Paul Pelosi.
“Paul Pelosi was brutally attacked by a drugged-out illegal alien that should have been deported,” she said. “And Paul Pelosi should have been a gun owner and shot his attacker. But Democrats in the media completely ignore horrific crimes against Americans every day.”
It was a quick pivot from crime to the southern border to the war in Ukraine.
“Democrats have ripped our border wide open, but the only border they care about is Ukraine,” she said. “Under Republicans, not another penny will go to Ukraine. Our country comes first.”
She compared the fentanyl crisis to Pearl Harbor and 9-11, blaming China for the fentanyl epidemic.
“Democrats always put America last and are destroying every single thread of democracy in the process,” she said. “Republicans are going to take back power in January and I’m going to be brutally honest with you…all of these problems cannot be fixed in just two years. It’s taken decades to bring us to this point. And Democrats poured gasoline on the fire over the past two years didn’t they?”
MTG called for investigations and accountability to the “traitors and thieves” in our government along with impeaching DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, AG Merrick Garland and President Joe Biden.
She pledged to defund the 87,000 IRS agents, vaccine mandates and the political actors abusing their power in the Department of Justice and the FBI.
“In order to truly make a commitment to America, Republicans are going to have to be the new Republican Party,” MTG said. “We can no longer be the party of Mitch McConnell, John McCain, Dick Cheney, George Bush or Mitt Romney. Or any other sellout, weak Republican brand that just holds hands with Democrats and serves the globalists’ agenda that is the enemy of us all.”
MTG declared Donald Trump the “one true leader” of the GOP. She said on Tuesday the people will “flood” the polls and vote for every Trump-endorsed Republican.
“The future is yours, Iowa,” she said. “Vote for every Republican up and down the ballot and don’t allow Democrats to destroy the greatest country on Earth. It’s freedom versus tyranny. Let freedom ring. Get out and vote Iowa.”
