From Never Back Down PAC:

It’s been a rough week for Nikki Haley and it isn’t about to get any better. Today, the Washington Post Fact Checker gave her another Four Pinocchio rating. Over the last month, Haley has received 12 Pinocchios from the Washington Post’s Fact Checker. No other candidate running has been hit for lying more than Haley.

The latest Pinnochio comes today as Haley’s PAC has another ad lying about Governor Ron DeSantis, this time on energy policy. Read the full story: Nikki Haley group misfires with false ad on DeSantis energy policies.

This ad fails on many levels. It twists DeSantis’s state policies to suggest he plans to bring them nationally — when in fact he says the opposite. He has made that distinction clear in debates, standing next to Haley. The ad also tries to claim DeSantis is a closet liberal on the environment, which is not true… But what makes this ad especially egregious is that it twice clips videos so that important context is missing — a deceptive technique we call “missing context — isolation.” SFA Fund earns Four Pinocchios — again.

“Nikki Haley has always been a weathervane politician. Her record shows that when she is faced with the tiniest bit of scrutiny, Nikki falls apart and changes her position. That’s not what we need in a leader. We need someone like Ron DeSantis who is steadfast in his principles and delivers results.“– Kristin Davison, COO Never Back Down.

The Washington Post’s Fact Checker gave their worst rating, 4 Pinnochios, to Nikki Haley 3 times over the last month. They found she overwhelmingly lied about the free land she gave to a Chinese Communist Party-run company as Governor, about “DeSantis giving millions to Chinese”, and now Gov. DeSantis’ energy policies.
