Iowa State Senator Scott Webster moved his support for the Republican nomination for President away from Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and is now backing political outsider Vivek Ramaswamy instead.

Webster said he has gotten to know Ramaswamy over the past few months and has learned how deeply aligned the two are on the need to “speak hard truths and find real solutions to the issues” facing America.

“Vivek has the knowledge and drive needed to bring the America First agenda to the next level while charismatically delivering an optimistic vision not heard since Ronald Reagan,” Webster said. “I am proud to endorse Vivek Ramaswamy to be our next President and I encourage my colleagues, whether you previously endorsed another candidate or not, to join me in standing with Vivek.”
