Iowa conservatives have reached out all week to The Iowa Standard expressing confusion with some of the recommended “slates” by President Donald J. Trump entering the district conventions.
“What is going on with the district ‘Trump’ slates,” asked one conservative activist. “Several of these folks are not Trump supporters, let alone grassroots. One in particular in District 3 is surprising.”
DeSantis endorsers as well as at least one person who has never been a Trump supporter, according to a number of conservatives, are included in Trump’s slate.
“I’m confused as to how these folks got on a supposed Trump slate,” one person said. “This does not smell right.”
Another conservative activist was alarmed at the number of state legislators suddenly running for state central committee.
“Seems like RPI is worried about rebels getting in,” they said.
Notably absent from Trump’s “slate” was Gary Leffler, who is well-known for his support of Trump as well as his Patriotic Tractor.
Leffler is a candidate for national delegate as well as an alternate delegate, but was snubbed by Trump.
Loeffler is a PATRIOT and should be Delegate. Donald J TRUMP IS OUR PRESIDENT and hopefully people can all come together AS ONE behind PRESIDENT TRUMP.
People at this point we are talking about OUR COUNTRY NOT TRUMP. This a battle between GOD AND EVIL and anyone that doesn’t see that has missed something.
Come on people put your feelings of Trump aside or we all get screwed!!!!
