Live Action, one of the nation’s leading human rights organizations, alongside many other groups in the pro-life movement, is calling out federal officials for their egregious decision to allow the deadly abortion pills to be available at neighborhood drug stores.
The FDA announced that pharmacies including Walgreens and CVS will be allowed to hand out the abortion-inducing drugs Mifepristone and Misoprostol.
Lila Rose, Founder and President of Live Action, said, “CVS and Walgreens will now be dispensing death-on-demand via the abortion pill. Now, all that’s needed for a mother to end her baby’s life is a prescription for a lethal abortion drug. It’s absolutely disgusting that your local pharmacist will now be dispensing poison that ends an innocent human life alongside antibiotics and allergy medication. Since its approval by the FDA in 2000, the abortion pill has led to the deaths of 5.6 million preborn children. It is also linked to the deaths of at least 28 women and has harmed countless others.
This news is tragic not only for the innocent victims of abortion, but also for their mothers. The highest priority for the new pro-life majority in the U.S. House of Representatives must be to stop the deadly abortion pill and rein in the reckless Biden Administration and their lackeys in the FDA.”
