Students at Bettendorf High School were given a survey that asks what name and pronouns they want to be called in the classroom and what name and pronouns they want the teacher to use around their parents.
The survey has reportedly been given by multiple teachers. One parent told The Iowa Standard they did not receive any notification prior to students being asked the questions.
The Iowa Standard reached out to the Bettendorf High School principal as well as the district’s superintendent and communications team.
We asked why this is being done, if parents are being notified prior to it being done and if the answers are being shared with parents.
We’ll provide the district’s answers when we receive them.
This is disgusting and every parent who does not align with this, should pull their kiddos out immediately!!!!
