During the weekend we told you about a Marshalltown teacher called Paul Miller. At a previous job, Miller was caught on tape shouting at students in an anti-Trump tirade. You can listen to the audio of his tirade from two years ago here.

Miller was allowed to resign from that position and was hired by the Marshalltown School District. The teacher was working at Miller Middle School in the district.

It is alleged that on Feb. 12, a 13-year-old student moved his desk. Miller became upset when the student moved his desk and approached the 13-year-old child, forcefully shoving the desk against the student’s stomach, and pinning the student against the wall.

Miller allegedly held pressure on the desk, trapping the child for 30-60 seconds. The child was eventually able to stand up to get out from behind the desk. At that point, Miller allegedly slapped the child in the face.

According to the police report, the child complained of pain in his face and had minor redness to his left cheek. It is also alleged the student has suffered from emotional distress following the assault.

Miller admitted to school administrators he had assaulted the child according to the criminal complaint.

According to local media reports, Miller resigned from his position at Marshalltown School District.
