The Protect Life Amendment continues to hang in the balance. I have requested a meeting with Speaker Grassley and plan to spend tomorrow lobbying individual legislators at the statehouse for passage.
While negotiations are still on-going on the language between House and Senate Republicans, we are nearing the end of the session. Our fear is this will get tabled until next session. As far as we have come this session, there is NO reason to wait until next session and start this process all over again.
Contact House Republicans and encourage them to adopt the Senate’s language of this Amendment.
