Turning Point Action is a sister organization of Turning Point USA. It has three simple goals, according to Charlie Kirk, the founder and CEO of Turning Point USA.
First, it wants to remake the GOP as a grassroots party from the bottom up while kicking out the Romneys and Paul Ryans. It seeks to hold leaders accountable.
“It is not enough just to win elections,” Kirk said. “We need Republicans to act like conservatives, not just Republicans In Name Only when they go to Washington D.C. when they betray their voters.”
Finally, it seeks to hold those elected officials accountable with its scorecard. The group downgraded congressional members who voted for the NDAA.
“It’s a terrible bill,” Kirk said.
And he’s fielding angry calls asking why TP Action downgraded the congressional members. Kirk’s advice is simple — if they want a better score, they should vote better.
“You don’t get a special hall pass for betraying your voters because we have a friendship,” Kirk said. “Enough excuses for these Republicans over the last decade. I’ve seen enough. These Republicans need to feel the heat of the grassroots.”
The good news, Kirk said, is that even though our elected leaders do not get it, the people do.
“You want results. You want a border more than you want Zelenskyy to get more billions of dollars,” Kirk said. “You are repulsed when you see that go-go-dancer show up with the Turtle (Mitch McConnell) and Chuck Schumer to demand more taxpayer money while we’re being invaded on a daily basis.”
Kirk added it is “insulting” that Senate Republicans have given $200 billion to Ukraine but have been unsuccessful in securing our border.
“You want an end to the medical child mutilation of our children that is called trans surgery. Period. You do not want a Republican Party constantly trying to protect the interests and feelings of Democrats,” he added.
Kirk called Joe Biden a “traitor to the United States.”
“You have worked your tail off,” Kirk said. “You’ve raised your kids, you’ve built businesses, you’ve paid your taxes — you deserve a better Republican Party and that’s what Turning Point Action is seeking to do.”
It’s time for “Ronna McRomney” to resign as chair of the RNC, Kirk said to roars and applause.
“She’s got to go,” he said. “I’m sick of being nice. I want to win. Turning Point Action is playing offense.”
DC groups do not understand there is a new paradigm shift and the game has changed. With Twitter liberated and Tucker being unleashed, there is no more politics as usual.
“You are living through the change,” he said. “All a sudden Senate Republicans are very afraid. They say, ‘Oh my goodness and why is Nikki Haley not doing better in the polls? And, you know why she’s not doing better, it must be because of sexism.’ No, it’s because of her awful ideas. That’s why.”
Turning Point Action is going to do all it can to help win in 2024. The group will focus on chasing ballots in Arizona, Wisconsin and Georgia to ensure the Democrats do not steamroll Republicans again in early voting.
